The metagenomic sequencing of Medicago rhizosphere soil samples

To further investigate which microorganisms that recruited by Medicago, rhizosphere microbial composition of Medicago in natural conditions under low pi concentration were analyzed by metagenomic method. We generated a total of 121.6 Gb of high quality metagenomic data, with an average of 8.1 Gb per sample. After assembly and gene prediction, we obtained a total of 1811489 contigs (with N50 length of 2217 bp) and 4874455 genes.
