School Leavers' Survey (SLS), 2002-2003

The 2002-2003 School Leavers’ Survey was carried out by the ESRI for the Department of Education and Science. The School Leavers’ Survey provides an insight into the position, experiences, and attitudes of school leavers approximately one year after leaving second level education. The School Leavers’ Survey ran consecutively from 1980 through to 1999. The School Leavers’ Survey was not carried out in the years 2000 or 2001. School leavers who exited the second-level system in the 2000/01 academic year (between September 2000 and the end of August 2001), provide the reference cohort for this study.
