AI-driven CD20-targeting CAR-T cell binders from the Bits to Binders competition

12,000 80-amino-acid sequences were designed by competitors in the Bits to Binders competition. These were designed to bind to human CD20, with the goal of eliciting a T cell response upon recognition when expressed as part of a Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR). These were tested in a pooled proliferation assay, in which all 12,000 were grown as CAR-T cells in one population, and the designs were evaluated on their ability to proliferate more in the presence of CD20+ co-culture cells compared to the control condition.
