Greenhouse gas emissions of the transport sector in Greece 2013-2022

The annual greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector in Greece increased by 1.2 million tons of CO2 equivalent (+7.19 percent) in 2022 in comparison to the previous year. With 17.91 million tons of CO2 equivalent, the annual greenhouse gas emissions thereby reached their highest value in the observed period. The European Union (EU) as a party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) reports annually its greenhouse gas inventory for the year t-2 and within the area covered by its Member States.
