NRS-21401 | Telecom Marks [Department of Lands]

This series contains original Locality Sketch Plans that were submitted to the Surveyor General by Telecom Australia. Under Survey Practice Regulations 12 and 58B, all permanent marks, state survey marks, and miscellaneous marks (which include Telecom marks were required to have a locality sketch plan lodged with the Deposited Plan at the Land Titles Office. Within this series each Telecom Mark is identified with the prefix TSM (Telecom Survey Mark) under the MM (Miscellaneous Mark) field. Telecom Australia was the trading name of the; Australian Telecommunications Commission (1975-1989); Australia Telecommunications Corporation (1989-1992); Australian and Overseas Telecommunications Corporation (1992-1993). Following this the AOTC changed its name to Telstra in 1993, and adopted the name domestically on 1 July 1995.
