A species diversity dataset of beetles in Hong Kong- Shek Pik

The dataset in this paper shows the beetle collection result from 2nd May to 23rd May (2019) in Hong Kong Shek Pik. 13 sample sites and two collection methods, the flight interception trap and pitfall trap, were selected for this collection. A total of 8,135 samples of 607 species from 63 families were collected (241 aggregative photos), the dataset contains the color images of all collected beetles and the identification labels sorted out by summary, the beetle diversity index by collected species and samples in different collection methods is also showed here.
