Vaginal microbiota in chronic vulvovaginal discomfort

This project investigates the relationship between chronic vulvovaginal discomfort (CVD) and vaginal microbiota composition and dynamics. Cervicovaginal fluid samples were collected from 91 women with CVD and 35 healthy controls at two timepoints (initial visit and end of follow-up). The microbial profiles were determined using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
