2025 update to the georeferenced sighting and specimen occurrence data of the extinct Carolina Parakeet (Conuropsis carolinensis) from 1564 - 1944.

A comprehensive, georeferenced dataset of Carolina parakeet sightings, both from published observations and museum specimens. Newly updated in 2025 with 131 new compiled records and an additional 81 georeferenced records of the historical occurrence of the extinct Carolina Parakeet, bringing the known total to 555 records and 508 specimens that can be located to at least the county level from 1564 to 1944.
