Based on the type and specification of photovoltaic (PV) modules used in floating photovoltaic (FPV) power stations, relevant parameters of the electroluminescence (EL) detector shall be configured, such as detection voltage, current, exposure time and other indicators. Then, the defect types and locations of PV modules can be analyzed based on the luminescent images provided by the EL detector. This detection workflow can be applied in the following two aspects: 1. Defect Handling: For the detected defects, timely recording and processing shall be conducted. Corresponding treatment measures including repair and replacement can be adopted according to the specific defect types and locations. The causes of such defects can be categorized into two groups: incoming material issues and human factors. Although the quality of incoming materials cannot be fully controlled, it is entirely possible to eliminate such defects by strengthening management in each relevant manufacturing process, reducing the impact of human factors, and ensuring that 100% of PV modules pass EL inspection prior to shipment. For floating photovoltaic power stations, rough manual installation during construction can also lead to the occurrence of secondary defects. 2. Report Compilation: Organize the detection results into formal reports that are clear, concise and easy to understand, which detailedly record the performance status of the floating photovoltaic power station and the identified problems. This enables the production and manufacturing teams and management to fully grasp the performance status of the floating photovoltaic power station and the required improvement measures. Additionally, for floating photovoltaic power station products, daily EL detection shall be performed using the EL detector before shipment every month. Specifically, relevant parameters of the EL detector are set based on the type and specification of the PV modules, such as detection voltage, current, exposure time, detection location and other indicators. Then, the defect types and locations of PV modules are analyzed via the luminescent images provided by the EL detector. The daily detection results are summarized to count the defect type and location with the highest monthly proportion. Timely recording and processing shall be carried out for the defect type and location with the highest monthly proportion, so as to adopt corresponding targeted treatment measures.
