Financing weddings in Germany 2024

The majority of couples in Germany (67 percent) financed their wedding at least partially themselves, according to this 2024 survey. Roughly 17 percent took out a loan to aid paying for their big day, and 24 percent of couples stated that the parents of the bride had helped finance the wedding to some extent.
