Porcine B-cell repertoire against foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype Asia1

FMDV was the first identified animal virus and remains prevalent in many parts of the world, particularly in developing countries in Africa and Asia. While FMDV serotype Asia1, was effectively eradicated in China by vaccination of Asia1/JS/05 strain in livestock. The structural property of serotype Asia1 may have the potential to heighten immunogenicity comparing to other serotypes. However, the antigenic structures properties of serotype Asia1 remain unknown. In this study, we primitively developed porcine BCR repertoire against FMDV serotype Asia1. This study presented antigenic structures configuration benefits to guide vaccine design for other-serotypes FMDV and even for other family or genus variable viruses.
