This series consists of copies of minutes (or memoranda) created by the Legislative Council. An entry was made in this series when a letter was referred to the Legislative Council from another government department, such as the Chief Secretarys Office.The following information was recorded:* date and registration no of letter* from whom* by whom referred* when referred* subject* minutes* when returned.In the Minutes column, any response from the Legislative Council was recorded.The layout of the records changed throughout the life of this series, however the basic information recorded remained the same, ie the agency from whom the letter was referred and the Legislative Councils response to same.
