The Chinese seabass (Lateolabrax maculatus) is an euryhaline teleost fish native to the margin seas of the Northwest Pacific Ocean which inhabit fresh, brackish, and marine waters of inshore rocky reefs and estuaries. Herein, we sequenced the whole genome of L. maculatus, which is important resource not only for basic ecological and population genetic studies, but also for upcoming breeding program of Chinese seabass.
