Ocular surface mycobiomes in Bacterial Keratitis patients

Studies have documented dysbiosis in the ocular microbiome in people with Bacterial Keratitis. To understand the dysbiosis in the ocular mycobiomes, DNA from conjunctival swabs of healthy controls, and from corneal scrapings and conjunctival swabs of patients with Bacterial Keratitis were used to generate mycobiomes through Illumina sequencing of ITS2 region.
