The present experimental work is motivated by the need for additional insight into the vortex-induced vibrations (VIV) of airfoils at high angle of attack from an aerodynamic perspective. The main goal is to investigate the vortex structures from formation and evolution to shedding and their role in the aerodynamic forces. This experimental dataset contains particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements of the flow field velocity around a NACA0021 airfoil undergoing surging motion at two different frequencies (reduced frequency k = 0.19 and k = 0.38). The dataset includes dynamic (surging) cases and a static case for comparison.<br>

本实验研究旨在从空气动力学视角,深化对大攻角下翼型涡激振动(vortex-induced vibrations, VIV)的认知。本研究的核心目标为探究涡旋结构从生成、演化至脱落的完整过程,及其对气动力的作用机制。本实验数据集包含粒子图像测速法(particle image velocimetry, PIV)测得的流场速度数据,实验对象为以两种不同减缩频率(k=0.19与k=0.38)做纵荡运动的NACA0021翼型。该数据集涵盖动态纵荡工况与静态对照工况,用于对比分析。
