EPM 16749 covers the southern part of the Develin Creek Volcanic-Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) Project. It comprises the southern extension of the Permian aged Rookwood Volcanics which host the Develin Creek copper-zinc deposits further to the north. The under-explored volcanic terrane has the potential to host significant VHMS mineralisation.
Exploration activity during the year 2019-2020 consisted of a review of the tenement potential to host VHMS mineralisation. It is still believed the area located to the northwest of the Wilsons Prospect is a valid target and further work is warranted. Also, further soil sampling is proposed to complete testing of the Rookwood Volcanics coverage started in the previous years of exploration.
