The human gut microbiota contributes to type-2 diabetes non-resolution 5-years after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass

This study is dedicated at understand the shifts in gut microbiome composition associated in the severity or lack thereof of type 2 diabetes in a cohort of patients (i) at baseline or (ii) 5-years after their Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. To confirm these associations with the hosts' phenotypes, fecal matter transplantations from human to mice were performed. All fecal samples were sequenced.
