Penstemon spp. Distribution in Relation to Artemisia tridentata Nurse Plants
收藏资源简介:
Raw field data collected during a two-phase survey of Penstemon spp. and Artemisia tridentata (big sagebrush) co-occurrence at Beaverhead Trail Coalition land west of Dillon, MT, USA (45.225°N, 112.671°W, 1,692 m elevation). Data were collected in support of a study examining nurse plant facilitation of P. palmeri establishment in sagebrush steppe. The dataset contains 395 observations across 8 variables: Penstemon spp. stem height (cm), ovule count, nearest A. tridentata host height (cm) and width (cm), distance from host (cm), distance band (1–5), slope aspect, and slope incline (degrees). Phase 1 records (rows with band assignment but no distance or ovule measurements) and Phase 2 records (complete measurements including precise distance and ovule count) are combined in a single sheet. Empty cells indicate measurements not taken for that observation.
