A time-continuous approach to analyzing anode aging in solid-oxide fuel cells via stochastic 3D microstructure modeling and physics-based simulations

The published research data contains multiphase-filed simulations of solid-oxide fuel cell anodes comprising gadolinium-doped cerium (GDC), nickel and pore space. The aging simulation was performed using Pace3D. The data shows the 3D microstructure of the SOFC anode after an aging duration of 1000h, 10000h, 20000h, 30000h, 38000h. In addition, 3D microstructure simulations obtained from a 4D stochastic microstructure model based on excursion set of random fields are given in the data for the same aging durations. Voxels belonging to the GDC phase are assigned a value of 255, those of the nickel phase are assigned 127, and those of the pore space are assigned 0.
