World Inflation - Sample

Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the weighted average changes in the prices of consumer goods and services purchased by households in the economy.

Year-on-year growth (percentage change since the same period in the previous year) in the CPI is the standard measure of consumer inflation. This indicator is closely tracked to monitor inflationary pressures in the economy. The CPI growth rate is sometimes used as a proxy for changes in the cost of living and is widely used in remuneration negotiations.

The data sample is part of the World Trend Plus database and it's CEIC Proprietary Global Economic Monitor datasets.
