Glioblastoma (GBM) has a poor prognosis due to infiltrative and therapy-resistant glioma stem-like cells. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) synergistically modulate biological pathways by repressing tumor-related genes, a mechanism lost in cancer. Overall design: GBM1-2 (glioblastoma) and GG3 (glioma grade III) patient-derived cells were cultured in glioma stem cell medium (Griffero et al., 10.1074/jbc.M807111200) and total RNA extracted for small RNA sequencing.
