Flood seasonal changes in microbiota evidenced through metagenomes of freshwater lakes from Upper Amazon river basin

Amazon river is an important freshwater basin. Known by its huge biodiversity, this water bodies possesses two marked seasons, flood and dry season. Here samples collected freshwater lakes samples during floods season belonging to Upper Amazon river basin (river course before Manaus city), filtered (< 5 um and > 0.2 um) and sequenced using Nextera XT libraries in a HiSeq 2500 Illumina Platform. These metagenomes reveal a great functional and taxonomic diversity and can lead to a better understanding about seasonal changes in this ecosystem.
