This dataset originates from the systematic collation and processing of the printed content in Soil Species of Heilongjiang, compiled by the Heilongjiang Soil Survey Office and the Heilongjiang Land Survey and Utilization Technology Center in October 1990. As an outcome of the Second National Soil Survey in Heilongjiang Province, this monograph comprehensively merges and organizes data for 254 soil species, including their distribution, main characteristics, overview of production performance, and physic-chemical properties of typical profiles. Based on the information characteristics of soil science and online service requirements, the original data underwent informatization, standardization, and structured extraction to construct seven data tables using soil species codes and names as key indices. These tables cover soil classification information, basic soil species data, landscape information of typical profiles, genetic horizon details of typical profiles, physicochemical properties of typical profiles, administrative distribution of soil species, and administrative codes for cities and counties. The dataset features reliable original data sources and scientific, standardized collection methods. It serves the third national soil survey and is widely applied in fields such as regional land quality assessment, ecological environment restoration, and soil scientific research, providing a solid scientific foundation for the rational utilization of soil resources.
