Peat 41 was a vertical CSG well drilled in PL101 planned to be a development well to evaluate the effectiveness of under-reaming to enhance production from the Baralaba Coal Measures in the Peat field. During under reaming of the coal seams as part of the completions, cavings were observed and a Drill Collar, Bit Sub and Drill Bit were lost downhole. Attempts to retrieve the BHA fish were unsuccessful. The well was abandoned as it was unable to be produced.
