This study utilized the tn-seq method with the HERMES transposon to determine which Nakaseomyces glabratus (Candida glabrata) genes contribute to tolerance and persistance in strain BG2. By growing transposon insertion pools in varying high doses of the echinocandin micafungin for either 0 or 6 hours, followed by washout and recovery, we were able to determine which transposon insertion sites are selected for or against based on the number of recovered reads compared to the control.
