P-wave velocity of discrete samples (DPW) from IODP Hole 389-M0107A@en

P-wave velocity data from discrete samples from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 389 (Hawaiian Drowned Reefs). Discrete samples for P-wave velocity measurements were taken during the onshore phase of expedition 389, which took place between 2025-02-06 to 2025-02-26 at the Bremen Core Repository (BCR) hosted at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen. The measurements were performed on cylindrical core plugs drilled approx. every 1.5 meter perpendicular to the split surface of the working halves of the core sections. P-wave velocity was measured first wet straight after the initial sampling, again after the samples have been dried in a convection oven and a third time after being resaturated with tap water. […]本数据集涵盖国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP）389次航次（夏威夷淹没礁）对应钻孔的离散样品纵波速度数据。本次纵波速度测量所用的离散样品采集于389次航次的陆上处理阶段，该阶段于2025年2月6日至2025年2月26日在不来梅大学海洋环境科学中心（MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences）托管的不来梅岩芯库（Bremen Core Repository, BCR）内开展。测量对象为每隔约1.5米钻取的圆柱状岩芯样，其取样方向垂直于岩芯段工作半块的劈开面。纵波速度的测量分别在三个阶段进行：初始采样后立即对湿态样品开展首次测量，将样品置于对流干燥箱烘干后开展第二次测量，最后用自来水将样品重新饱和后开展第三次测量。所有测量均采用用于离散纵波测量的Geotek PWL-D型测速仪完成。[…]
