资源简介:
For this experiment, the target trees were located in the woodlot at York University. The experiment aimed to measure the distances (in cm) between a pair of two adult trees. An adult tree in this case was classified as a tree twice the height of the experiment conductor (or higher). Transect measuring tape was used to measure the distance between the first observed tree to the next closest tree. The diameter at breast height (dbh) was also measured with the transect tape (in cm) of the pair of trees. The living condition of the trees were observed visually and recorded with a scale from 0 – 2 to describe whether the tree was dead, living, or fully flourished with canopy and leaves. The total sample size was 20 individual adult trees.
