Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is Australia's oldest national park established primarily for nature conservation. It is one of the top ranking biodiversity reserves, recognised as a species rich area on a national scale, and identified as one of Australia's richest and significant terrestrial and freshwater biodiversity hotspots. It enjoys strong community support and receives more than two million visitors annually. This project will rehabilitate habitat and tracks in the western park, delivering significant ecological improvements, extensive weed control and regeneration, bush track upgrades to minimize visitor impact, visitor infrastructure maintenance, and stabilising erosion created by increasing intense storm events.
