Benthic diatoms from two streams in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This database includes 24 surface sediment samples from two streams in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, exposed to different degrees of agricultural impact. These sampling campaigns were conducted as part of Dr. Nicolosi Gelis' doctoral thesis (https://doi.org/10.35537/10915/114100) and funded by the PIP 173 (CONICET) projects. Surface sediment samples (epipelic biofilm) were collected for diatom analysis, along with measurements of water physicochemical parameters using a HORIBA multiparameter sensor and water samples for nutrient analysis. The database has been formatted following the standars of the project "DiatomS mEEt Databases: resources and practices to enable large-scale ecological research (SEED)" funded by the International Society for Diatom Research (https://isdr.org/early-career-networking-award/).
