The complete mitochondrial genome of Egglestonichthys bombylios (Perciformes Gobiidae)

In this study, we present the complete mitogenome and a phylogenetic analysis of Egglestonichthys bombylios Larson & Hoese 1997. The complete mitochondrial genome is a circular molecule of 17,745 bp in length and contains 13 protein coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA (tRNA), 2 ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and a control region as in other bony fishes. Phylogenetic evidence suggests that it belongs to a group that also contains Priolepis cincta and Larsonella pumila. And this group is a sister group to Priolepis spp. and Trimma.
