Core Emotion Framework (CEF): data and analysis code for "Emotions as Movements" (reproducibility package)
收藏资源简介:
De-identified data and analysis code for the Core Emotion Framework (CEF) articles by J. Bulgaria: "Emotions as Movements: The Core Emotion Framework and Its Place in the Philosophy of Emotion" (Section 6 and Appendix B; PhilPapers BULEAM-2), "Emotional Rigidity and the Practice of Core Emotions" (PhilPapers BULERA; folders code/validation3 and outputs/validation3) and "The Core Emotion Framework in Its Own Terms: An Empirical Synthesis of Rigidity, Release and Practice" (folders code/validation4, outputs/validation4, code/synthesis and outputs/synthesis). Contains the CEF Phase 1 survey (N = 826 responses; 822 after cleaning), the CEF pilot studies and the Understanding survey with participant IDs replaced by codes, the CEF lexicon EL-1, the Python and R scripts, the pre-specified predictions with their SHA-256 hashes, the deviations files and all outputs. Third-party open datasets are not included; code/get_external_data.py downloads them and checks their checksums. All analyses are exploratory. Version 1.2 adds a fourth exploratory round (validation4), the figure script of the synthesis article, and a claim audit (code/validation4/CLAIM_AUDIT.md) that checks every test against the author's own words. Only tests of relations the author himself states are evidence about CEF: C2, C7a, C7b and C8a (supported), C4 and CY2a (mixed), C1a and EN4 (not supported). Earlier analyses that tested the analysts' interpretations rather than the framework (the version 1.0 rows on trait scales, centres and counter-poles; six of the twelve validation3 tests; the whole validation2 round; seven of the nine validation4 tests) do not bear on the framework's claims, and negative verdicts drawn from them are withdrawn as evidence about CEF. Their numbers are unchanged and stay available for what they do test. All files of versions 1.0 and 1.1 are unchanged; see README.md and its changelog.
