United States National Grid Layers
收藏资源简介:
Overview This feature service provides polygon grid layers for the United States National Grid (USNG), supporting consistent location referencing across mapped areas. The service contains multiple grid resolutions that can be used to reference positions, label map areas, and overlay geographic features with standardized grid cells. Feature Layers USNG 100m - A 100-meter grid layer with USNG coordinate attributes, place and region information, and polygon geometry for fine-scale location reference. USNG 1000m - A 1,000-meter grid layer representing USNG square coverage with northing, easting, grid zone, and coordinate attributes for larger-area grid display and indexing. USNG 10000m - A 10,000-meter grid layer that captures broader USNG index cells for regional reference and overview mapping. Geographic Coverage The service covers a portion of southern Florida and is designed for use within the appropriate projected coordinate system for the underlying USNG construction. Use Cases Map indexing and grid-based navigation Location sharing and position referencing Emergency response and field operations Reference overlays for paper and digital maps Displaying standardized USNG coordinates at multiple scales Source and Notes The layers are built from United States National Grid data and include polygon features with USNG coordinate attributes. The service supports display and use in GIS applications that work with projected grid systems.
