Transcriptions Bernese Mandaten (version 2024) - run_text

The selection of Mandaten is based upon the work of Claudia Schott-Volm, Repertorium der Policeyordnungen der Frühen Neuzeit Band 7.1: Orte der Schweizer Eidgenossenschaft: Bern und Zürich (Vittorio Klostermann, Frankfurt am Main, 2006)In 2024 the texts of the Mandatenbücher were reprocessed with:Transkribus' Text Titan I (Super Model), Which claims a CER of 2.95%; and was trained on 4 905 050 Lines from the 16-21 century(model ID: 51170). Consequently, a script was used to try to match as many lines as possible to the previously, manually found texts from the 2020-transcriptions (10.5281/zenodo.21309662). These files have been processed to remove line breaks and (random) numbers that were on individual lines (either page/folio numbers or ink bleed).
