VPRS 9666 Electricity Supply Department Annual Reports

The reports contain financial reports, figures and statistics related to sales and distribution of electricity outside the main Melbourne metropolitan area and country districts.These records are arranged in chronological order by financial year.These are internal reports which were produced by the Electricity Supply Department from 1931 to 1969, by Marketing Distribution from 1970 to 1977 and by Supply Group in 1978 and 1979.Information in the annual reports consists of summaries of performance for each year, comparison with performance for the previous year and declaration of financial returns, etc..Aspects of business covered in the reports include income and expenditure, electricity supply regions, distribution regions and electricity supply (including usage and sales and marketing), and briquette sales.These reports are separate and distinct from those that the Commission was required to submit to the Minister each year under Section 32 of the Electricity Commissioners Act 1918 (No.2996).
