<i>This study was a survey of 8 lakes with annual mean concentrations of DOC that varied from 3.5 to 9.2 mg/L. Samples for water chemistry and zooplankton to determine variations in light attenuation, temperature, nutrients, chlorophyll a, and zooplankton biomass. Seston and zooplankton were also analysed for stable isotopes of H, C, and N.</i>
