资源简介:
Kinneretia sp. E2 was isolated from meat processing wastewater in Fukui, Japan, although the same genus of bacteria had been reported to inhabit freshwater. The E2 bacteria produce large amounts of a biopolymer that is highly adhesive to various contaminants and microorganisms that pollute water quality. The biofilm formed by this polymer is sufficiently effective in purifying industrial wastewater because it entangles and coagulates the pollutants. Our project aims to elucidate the genetic information necessary for understanding the biopolymer molecules produced by E2 bacteria. The project results are expected to contribute to preserving the water environment and creating a foundation to support the industry.
