Acinetobacter baumannii is an often reported as a cause of hospital acquired infections, particularly associated with respiratory infection in critically ill patients, has a tendency to cause hospital outbreaks. Whole-genome sequencing was used to obtain an improved-resolution view of the relationships between isolates.From January 1 to November 31 2018, 72 multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (MRAB) were continuously isolated from the lower respiratory tract of different patients in ICU. We retrospectively sequenced the DNA from those isolates.We conducted a phylogenetic tree by comparing single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), allowing us to incorporate the Whole-genome sequencing into health care infection prevention efforts.
