The dataset contains raw and processed data obtained from superconducting nanowire detectors fabricated using MgB₂ thin films. The nanowire is 8 nm thick, 100 nm wide, and 100 μm long. The dataset includes: optical pulse count rates from a femtosecond 785 nm laser (Femtosource, Synergy 20), measured using a counter (SR400, Stanford Research Systems); superconducting transition temperature characterization, obtained from resistance vs. temperature measurements; voltage pulse traces obtained from the shunted detector, amplified using a room-temperature amplifier (ZFL-1000LN, Mini-Circuits, 0.1–1000 MHz bandwidth) and recorded with a real-time oscilloscope (LeCroy WaveMaster 8600A, 6 GHz bandwidth, 20 GS/s); dark count measurements recorded at fixed temperatures.
