A Trial of Mepolizumab Adjunctive Therapy for the Prevention of Asthma Exacerbations in Urban Children (MUPPITS-2). ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03292588 The MUPPITS-2 study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group trial conducted at 9 study sites in the U.S. between November 2017 and April 2021. Eligible participants were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive blinded adjunctive therapy with either mepolizumab or matching placebo by subcutaneous injection every 4 weeks for 52 weeks.
