In this study, we set out to map the transcriptomes of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) that underwent in vitro cardiac-directed differentiation from pluripo- tency to mesodermal commitment to 2D beating heart muscle cultures and finally to 3D- engineered heart myocardium (EHM) rings at single cell resolution. HiPSc were differentiated into cardiomyocytes and collected at five timepoints during the differentiation process (d0, d3, d10,d25, EHM) and subjected to single-cell sequencing. Two caucasian cell lines were used to account for biological variation.
