资源简介:
The wild apple (Malus sieversii) is a Tertiary relict plant and the primary ancestor of all cultivated apple varieties. It is distributed across Central Asia, with a particular concentration in the wild fruit forests of the Tianshan Mountains in China. Possessing rich germplasm diversity, the wild apples in Xinjiang serve as a valuable gene bank and can provide high-quality genetic resources for cultivated apples.Through transcriptome database analysis, three genes (MsWRKY65, MsLNC1, and MsTRX5) were found to be upregulated during infection by the Valsa mali pathogen, suggesting their potential association with disease resistance. All three genes were cloned from tissue-cultured seedlings of Xinjiang wild apples, and the data provided herein corresponds to the CDS region sequences of these disease-resistant genes—validated through experimental studies. MsWRKY65 and MsTRX5 were named based on their sequence homology to Arabidopsis thaliana’s WRKY65 and thioredoxin 5 (TRX5) genes, respectively. MsLNC1, meanwhile, is the first functionally validated lncRNA identified in Xinjiang wild apples, hence its designation. Besides, Ptrx5 is the of the promoter of MsTRX5 gene and is used for the function study. Ptrx5-mutant is a mutation at a specific site in the MsTRX5 promoter sequence for gene function research. The provision of these three disease-resistant gene sequence data aims to supply genetic resources for apple molecular breeding, which not only helps preserve wild genetic resources but also holds promise for the rapid development of disease-resistant apple varieties via molecular biology techniques.
