Dorji and Tashi Dorji are native to Dukti. They are sharing the history of Dukti Lakhang. Dukti Lakhang was initially known as Dukti Tsebrang. It was too small to be called Lakhang. The statue of Buddha, mural painting on the wall, and giant pillars were all later added by Tshong Tshongma Lopen. The head carpenter was Tshong Tshongma Lopen, who was guided by another carpenter Namgay Tshering. There were only twelve households when the Lakhang was built, and all the households collectively sponsored the construction of the Lakhang.
