Oral microbiome dysbiosis in selected cardiovascular diseases: Part 2.

This study aimed to perform a qualitative and semi-quantitative characterization of the oral microbiome within various niches of the oral cavity in patients diagnosed with atherosclerosis, stratified by oral health status (healthy dentition, periodontal disease, or edentulism). Furthermore, the study sought to investigate associations between the composition of the oral microbiome and selected clinical and dental parameters.
