Alteration of microbiota by maternal separation and correlation between the microbiota composition and stress-related behaviors

In rodents, maternal separation has been studied in relation with irritable bowel syndrome models; however, correlation between stress-related behaviors and microbiota composition has not been studied. This study aimed to analyze the effects of maternal separation on microbiota and stress-related behaviors and the correlation between microbiota and stress-related behaviors.
