Data used in "A representative underlying scale for spectrally-resolved energy dissipation in surface breaking waves"

This dataset accompanies the manuscript: “A representative underlying scale for spectrally-resolved energy dissipation in surface breaking waves”by Rui Cao et al., submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans. This repository contains the data underlying the analyses and figures presented in the manuscript and its Supporting Information. The archived files include raw or near-raw observational data used in the analysis, processed analysis-level datasets, grouped summary datasets, and plotting-ready datasets used in the preparation of the figures. The repository is organised by analysis content. Subfolders correspond to individual analysis modules, and data files within each folder are named according to the relevant comparison, metric, or case. Variable names follow the notation used in the manuscript wherever possible. All quantities are defined in the manuscript and Supporting Information. Brief descriptions of file contents and sheet structures are provided within the corresponding spreadsheet files.
