Inducible Mouse Models of Human Colon Cancer. Mus musculus

This project will conduct whole genome sequencing and of serially biopsied tumors in the colon cancer model system with known initiating mutations (APC, KRAS) that are sampled as the tumor grows and metastasizes. This will allow for the study of addional mutations that occur early in the tumor growth and the identification metastatis-specific mutations. This is one of several projects at The Genome Institute to characterize mouse models of human cancer.
