Junior doctors’ preparedness to prescribe, monitor and treat patients with the antibiotic vancomycin in an Australian teaching hospital

This was a two component cross-sectional study assessing confidence and knowledge to prescribe and monitor vancomycin conducted between 2012 and 2014. Participants of the study were junior doctors’ identified from the register of the Trainee Medical Officer (TMO) Unit, FMC (the potential cohort of junior doctor available to participate were (2012 n=72; 2013 n=73; 2014 n=74).
