Arabidopsis thaliana Transcriptome or Gene expression

The phytohormone ethylene regulates various plant developmental processes including fruit ripening and senescence. In this study, we analyzed the changes in gene expression in response to ACC (precursor of ethylene) in the ethylene perception mutant, ein2-5. This study will provide an insight into the genes differentially expressed in response to ACC independent of ethylene. Genes identified here could be functionally characterized in future to get an in-depth understanding how ACC itself could regulate plant development.
