In this work the effect of different kinetic models on the results of corona discharge simulation in a wire-cylinder geometry has been investigated. The kinetic models considered are the Parent model (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jcp.2013.11.029), the Townsend model (http://dx.doi.org/10.1088/0022-3727/30/4/017) and the Mateo-Velez model (http://dx.doi.org/10.1088/0022-3727/41/3/035205).
