Cross-scale land cover mapping datasets for different application scenarios

The two test areas involved both include three datasets with different spatial resolutions, specifically 10 m, 3 m, and 0.5 m. Among these, the images in the 10 m resolution dataset are sourced from Sentinel-2, comprising four spectral bands (i.e. red, green, blue, and near-infrared). The images in the 3 m resolution dataset are sourced from PlanetScope, encompassing four spectral bands (i.e. red, green, blue, and near-infrared). The images in the 0.5 m resolution dataset are sourced from Beijing-3A, including three spectral bands (i.e. red, green, and blue). The three application scenarios are located in the Jianye District of Nanjing, the Sheyang County of Yancheng, and the Yellow River Delta of Dongying, respectively. Jianye District represents an urban environment with dense artificial structures, covering an area of 81.75 km². Sheyang County corresponds to a representative agricultural landscape with an area of 228.29 km², while the Yellow River Delta represents a natural wetland environment, spanning 524.76 km². The high-resolution images (3 m) were sourced from PlanetScope. The acquisition dates for Jianye District, Sheyang County, and the Yellow River Delta are July 21, April 1, and May 28, 2024, respectively. The low-resolution noisy labels (10 m) were obtained from the European Space Agency (ESA) WorldCover 2021 product.
